Objectives: Getting the student familiar with the principles of numerical modeling of the dynamical processes in the seas and oceans.
Contents: Modeling principles – Coastal zone models – Oceanic circulation models – Wave models – Tidal models – Pollutant dispersion models – Red Sea and Arabian Gulf models.
Practical: Essentials of computer programming using Fortran language – Programming of simple numerical models – Application of some numerical models.
